And if you make your own fuel to drive on those roads you are essentially using something for free that you should be paying for. Whether the government should use that sort of system to tax road use is another story. You'd think with all the taxes we pay every year from our paycheck and when buying everything else that the roads would be covered. Makes a lot of sense, though...
