Earthships
Earthships are passive solar, eco-friendly, self-sustaining, off-grid homes that remind me a little bit of a Mad Max film. Despite the odd appearance, earthships have a certain charm – especially if you’re into gardening indoors! Earthships first appeared on the scene (in modern form) in the 1970′s when Earthship Biotecture (see link below) wanted to create a home that would be sustainable, use natural / recycled materials, and generate its own utilities off the grid.
